Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Baltic Association of Laboratory Medicine (BALM) and the Organizing Committee it is a great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 13th Baltic Congress in Laboratory Medicine. This important event will be held in Tartu, Estonia on May 12–14, 2016 in Dorpat Conference Centre. The congress will be held under the auspices of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) and European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM).
BALM Congress Tartu 2016 will be an invigorating congress reflecting the state and directions of laboratory medicine in the time of changing health care environment. The congress will focus on topics how laboratory medicine can help clinicians to treat patients in a better way.
The Scientific Committee will work hard to present a challenging scientific programme in the form of plenary lectures, scientific sessions, round-table discussions and a poster session. Baltic, Nordic and international speakers will bring along the best knowledge to share their ideas. All young and experienced colleagues are invited to submit abstracts and present posters on their research findings. We invite our diagnostic industry partners to present new developments and ideas in a commercial exhibition and presentations.
BALM Congress Tartu 2016 is a great place to meet colleagues, gather knowledge, and share information. We hope that it will help to strengthen the cooperation and communication between our Baltic and international colleagues.
Tartu, also called the Athens of River Emajõgi, is a beautiful university town, a modern city with rich historical heritage and culture. A walk in the Old Town and Town Hall Square, the vibrant spring atmosphere of student town and sightseeing places, like the Ahhaa Science Centre, theatre Vanemuine and the university buildings will undoubtedly be an enjoyable experience.
